1951 Jeep Pickup Thread

Well now it's tomorrow! 3rd Jan, actually.

The jeep is coming right along- only needs interior & bed floor, and it's done.
The Little blue two is still parked up on the concrete. I'm hoping to have time next week, so I can go and sort the registration stuff. Still have not done the brakes. Studebaker coyote project is still waiting on an engine. The 1941 Plymouth awd Hemi is coming soon. The California truck, another 1972 F250 Camper special is coming soon. Super glad I got to drive the first one I did.

And now that's it for the engine bay. I can close the bonnet and never open it again







I'm now on tot he interior floor and bed floor. The lights are in the grille and working, the fans are in and working, exhaust is on and inner wheel arches are all buttoned up on the front.

Not much left before I'm taking this thing on a beer run!!

I've been working on the interior.
The original WILLYS Jeep speedo and other gauges were also in the center of the dash- So I followed suit.

And today- DOWN THE ROAD IT WENT!
Holy cow is this one fast!

I feel like it's faster than the Internationals and I know it's faster than the Studebaker was. My son brought it to my attention that it took three of us to lift the International and Studebaker rear beds, where the Jeep bed was super easy to lift with only 2 of us.

Also, the cab is much smaller on this one, so lighter.

So we loaded it up with cameras and took off!

I'll mess with the video over the weekend.
