Now here's a car I have had for a while, I try not to use descriptions like 'mint' as most times I have read it the writer didn't seem to grasp what I think that word is supposed to mean when it comes to cars. Most of the time I have read 'mint condition' I guess they writer must have meant the mint wrappers left around in the car, not the worn out seats and other crap.
Enough negativity! Not many photos yet but i'll add some as I take them, my aim with this car is to keep it at 99% oem. Things like the the gear gaitor were cheap and nasty from Toyoda San so they deserve to be replaced with something better. It's not on the road ATM, typically the alternator wanted to to what SW's alternators seem to like to do.
Hmm, i'll add my pics later, apparently what i'm trying to insert is 'too big', thats the first time I have ever been able to say that so I grabbed that opportunity with both hands. Then realised one hand was overkill.

HAHAHAH Nicely done! I got three good laughs out that post right there, so without putting too much emphasis on the opportunity itself and no need for any pics of that in particular, the SW car? Yes, let's see that!

I gave the admin guy a nudge with a stick and asked if he could sort out some sort of photo hosting for this fantassik new forum. My phone is one of the old ones with a rotary dial on it, the only 'tapatalk' its capable of is morse code.
If its means that there is a small cost to run this forum i'd stick my hand in my pocket to help out. Not by just playing pocket billiards but by paying to make this forum be super cool and easy to use for dopey non techy people like me. And this forum has the potential to be very cool, run by people who enjoy the stuff they talk about and let people do their own thing without making bullyboy rules and little cliques to exclude anyone with an opinion that may differ from the admin or moderators.

Hey thats my car! Thanks for posting the pics up. No, its not Goodwood green, it was sort of Organic green there for a bit, life does funny things and the car became a 'barn find' (yes, a real car in a real barn) for me to 'find' later on.
So I went and found it, cleaned it and it was a sonic shadow once again. Its done about 65,000m, interior is in really good condition - the car is totally stock standard right down to the wireless. Typically the aerial has a priapism and the alternator shart itself, but thats what a loving partner takes - to accept something with its flaws. Oh yeah, and the joins at either end of the cat have rusted like an absolute mofo.
The car will be looked after much better from now on, I hope to get it to a really good standard and take it to some car shows and drive days. I'll add some more pics when I work out how to.

Seriously jealous on how many of those things there are, on that side of the pond. That one, 65,000 KM? It's amazing!!

Shit, I knew they were watching! Remember boys and girls, just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're 'not' watching...

Loving the Sonic Chris. How much more than an alternator replacement before it's fully roadworthy.
Your answer can be in the form of tasks/time/beers consumed.

^ The ends of the cat look a bit crumbly, not sure how to tackle that problem yet, have to give the wheels a spin to see how the brakes are working. It just needs a good clean up really, few little spots of rust that need some work but nothing heart breaking (touch wood)((no, not big C. Wood)
Beer doesn't equate to anything happening in the garage of sloth, it turns into more of an appreciation fest of the lines of the car as I sit there and admire it. And get the cloth out and make it OCD clean everywhere.

The cats always rot on the ends, I have seen small plate sheilds fitted to protect the joints. I think they were factory.
