October 30th 2016 All sorted on the Mk1 now so back to Sky. I figured it would be best to get that door finished. Think that came out pretty well
Hmm maybe that colour match is rather off.
Ah well it will have to do. Now unfortunately I have a litre of that paint which isn't right, I can't send it back either as the company doesn't seem to exist any more, I'm starting to see why.
I started doing a little bit on the interior aswell, the cup holders wouldn't come out so I got them removed and found that the reason is that the clip had been broken so someone had screwed it in smh
Also I believe the steering column is stuck, the lower adjuster I believe should allow it to move forward and back however it won't move. If anyone has any ideas on this then my ears are open.
Whilst I'm rambling on does anyone know what this is
The pieces fell out from the lower dash when I took it off. I believe it came from around here
I did finish the welding on the sills but forgot the photos and started cleaning the welds back.

November 07th 2016 Still working on the sills so you will have to put up with that for now. So welding all finished and the welds ground back and filled. (Use your imagination here as i lost the photo)
I also finished cleaning the rust off the rear arch and got that filled Plenty of filler primer has been used this weekend
However my blue paint didnt arrive so thats how it stands atm, and speaking of blue paint i have a slight suspicion that the colour difference that can be seen on the door isnt due to the wrong mix but possibly due to sun bleaching/fading of the paint. Now i wouldnt have thought we get enough sun to have changed the colour that drastically but the car is a import so it is possible (i ordered a second batch of paint just in case). So whilst waiting for the paint that didnt arrive i started on the front bumper which im not sure what happened to it but the paint and even the plastic coating underneath has peeled away. You can see it here although i had already started filling at this point. If you look closely at that picture you will see why i believe the paint has faded. I also continued on the underside of the sills making sure that i put plenty of panel sealer over the welds in the hope to stop them from ever rusting. the underside has now also been Hammerited and will be getting under-sealed in the next few days
Now onto a little side thingy. The clip on my cup holder was broken meaning that it wouldnt stay in, so a "genius" decided to drill a hole through the tray and fix it in place with a screw. Since i cant seem to find a replacement anywhere, either they are very rare or someone has found another genuine Toyota cup holder and fitted it to my car, either way i would like to keep it so i started to think.
Hmm i wonder if i could replace the clip with something? So i folded a bit of steel over and managed to get it to lock into the latch, success. Better fix it in place then.
Ok lets give it a go, Aaand it didnt work, ah well nothing lost.
Back to the drawing board and i came up with a solution V2 I figured that if i was able to make a better ridge in the steel and line it up better before hand then i might stand a fighting chance, i wonder if there is a better way of securing it aswell. yes we can do it. so i present to you... Cup holder fix 2.0 I have also added some Aryldite it to keep it lined up correctly. This time is actually works when it went back together so thats a win. I now have a working cup holder.
I did look at the radio wiring whilst i was in there and very hurriedly looked away so thats a story for another day.

Yea for some reason they were working but have slowly started to die? They were all fine before a certain someone and their apple came along. When they turn up at my door with a straight jacket I will be sure to say it's your fault. Ok can anyone see this
